PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) - Nobel peace price laureate Muhammad Yunus announced that his group would providing loans and equity investments to several Haitian businesses. The financing will range from $80,000 to $500,000 with interest rates from 6-10%.

After an analysis of the cost/revenue report by the Minister of Culture and Chairman of the recent carnival committee that claimed a gain of 21 million HTG in revenue for the public treasury, we found it not to be true. The numbers add up to a net loss for the state of 46 million HTG.
